What makes company data valuable to AI labs
Volume alone does very little. These are the factors that move a deal.
Owners often assume that more files mean a bigger deal. Volume helps, but it is rarely the deciding factor. Labs care about what the records reveal about how work gets done.
Uniqueness
Records that exist nowhere on the public internet are worth more than material a lab could find elsewhere. Internal documents, design files and team threads usually qualify.
History
Years of records let a lab see how processes evolve, how decisions play out and how problems get solved over time. A long history is a strong signal.
Connection between systems
A ticket that links to a conversation, which links to a document, which links to an outcome, is far more useful than isolated files. Connected records show cause and effect.
Visible outcomes
Labs want to see what happened after a decision. Did the deal close? Was the issue resolved? Outcomes turn records into lessons.
Clean rights
Finally, the company has to be able to license what it holds. Records tangled in third‑party confidentiality are harder to include.
