How long does a data licensing deal take?

From first call to payment, here is the typical timeline.

Timelines vary, but the process follows seven steps: assess, meet the labs, lab vetting, share your file list, get a quote, get a contract, and get paid.

The fast parts

Once a lab has your file list, a quote typically arrives within 24 to 48 hours. Companies with 80 to 100 or more employees can often close in under a week.

Payment

After signing, payment typically arrives within 3 days to 3 weeks, depending on the deal.

What slows things down

Unclear rights and missing information. Preparing your inventory and rights checklist in advance keeps things moving.

Our average deal size is between $250K and $1M. Find out what your records are worth in a few quick questions.
