How anonymization works for licensed company data

Labs want to learn how work happens, not who did it. Here is how personal details come out.

The most common question we hear from owners is about privacy. The short answer: every file is anonymized before a lab sees it, either by Sakuya or by the lab, depending on the deal.

What gets removed

Anonymization targets anything that identifies a person or a client: names, email addresses, phone numbers, account details, and the names of customers and vendors. What stays is the substance of the work: the reasoning, the steps, the back and forth that led to a decision.

Why labs want it this way too

Labs have their own reasons to avoid personal information. They want the pattern of how a team works, not the identity of who was on the team. Clean, anonymized records are easier for them to accept.

Your role

You stay in control throughout. After the lab's vetting, you share the list of files you are willing to license. Nothing outside that list is included, and your company name stays private unless you choose otherwise.

A good question to ask

Whoever handles anonymization on your deal, ask how it is checked. A reliable process includes review, not just an automated pass.

Our average deal size is between $250K and $1M. Find out what your records are worth in a few quick questions.
